Lash Extension After Care Tips

Things To Avoid

—Getting any oils on or around your eyes.
—Getting primers, eye shadow & other makeup on your lash line or lashes.
—Close proximity to heat (opening oven door, BBQ, campfires)
—Picking or pulling your lash extensions.
—Sleeping on your face.
—Eyelash curlers
—Mascara

Clean Your Lashes Daily

Maintain the health of your natural lashes by gently cleansing daily. Use a soft clean eye shadow or fan brush with your favorite lash cleanser. Lash adhesives need a clean surface in order to bond well.

Use A Sealant and/or Growth Serum

To keep your lashes looking fresh and to increase lash retention, use a sealant every other day. Using a growth serum helps promote healthy lashes. Use a clean mascara spoolie to run through the ends of lashes to fluff them. Great for Volume lashes as well as Classic!

Having Issues With Retention?

As the client, there are a few things that you can do or things going on that you  may not even realize that effects the retention.
Ask yourself these questions...
1. Do you tend to touch your lashes often? Are you brushing too often?
2. Do you have allergies? Rubbing your eyes? Pollens tend to attach to hair, so go ahead and rinse your lashes with clean water.
3. Are you having any hormonal fluctuations?
4. Any changes in medications? Eyedrops?
5. Do you sweat a lot during exercise? Wearing a sweatband helps tremendously. Our sweat has body oils.

Touch Ups

Before Your Touch Up Appointment

—Please arrive to your appointment with clean extensions. If arriving after work, please arrive 5 minutes early to cleanse your extensions at the "Lash Shampoo Station" located at my studio. Applying lash extensions to clean lashes is necessary for good retention. Your lash professional uses her time to apply extensions, not cleansing dirty lashes.
—Please arrive to your appointment on time, and please abide to all rescheduling or cancellation policies, as you may be charged for missed appointment.
Remember...
- you must have 50% retention to qualify for a 2-3 week fill
-you must have 30% retention to qualify for 4 week fill
—In the rare event of a suspected allergic reaction, please contact me immediately. You are important to me!

—With regular touch ups, you can enjoy wearing your lash extensions indefinitely. Your natural lashes continue to grow and shed daily. The eyelash grows in three cycles, and then drops off, a 90-100 days life span.
—If you decide, for whatever reason, to discontinue your touch ups, please schedule a removal appointment. Please do not attempt to remove lash extensions yourself as you risk damaging your natural lashes.
—BEFORE any surgery, it is important to advise the O.R. Nurses or Anesthesiologist that you wear lash extensions.
